ok my equipment is now...2000xl full memory and 8 outs,emu mk6(mophatt keys),event tr8s, cheap behringer 8 input mixer,scsi cdrom,scsi zip drive and umm... thats basically it.


ive searched for the answers but i cant exactly find what i am looking for.

ok here it goes...without a computer(with software that has tracks for editing/recording) or any type of recorder(digital,dat,whateva) i cant make music yet right??like i could make tracks and sequences on my mpc with the sounds of my mk6 but after that im done where does it go??



ok second, this would is an easy one,i know its simple but i cant seem to understand.lets say im in sequence one and im in track one, and i use a certain kit from the mk6...then i go to track two on the same sequence and if i change the kit on the mk6 all the sounds change even the ones on track one.what im i doing wrong?

now ive read a past post and im sure my last question has something to do with the programs but for now im kinda lost.

also the mk6 has real time fx knobs and if i put some fx on one key(sound) it does it for all the keys(sounds) even after i record a track and that is really annoying.how can i change this?


when i went to one of my aquaintances' studio the way he used it was play the mo phat sounds on the mpc and that was being recorded in cubase on the computer,then he went to his triton and played something and just recorded that on cubase over it and made a sequence.is this the only way it could be done?

When your in Track 2 on the MPC, change it to MIDI Ch. 2 and then on your MK-6 to the left of your screen there should be two buttons that say Channel over them. Swith that to Channel 2 and you should be all good with channel 1 staying the same.

as for the FX thats a case of MIDI CC's
