Mpc as only production tool. Possible?

You can assign midi sound bankd to the pads, but guys who are using just the MPC mostly are sampling vinyl or using a looping program like ACID....

i used just the 2k for years, now i try and mix in a keyboard once in a blue moon, but mostly its just mpc and vinyl, never computers

I normally just use the mpc and vinyl. I might use a stab of a bass or keys from a sound module but i sample it into the MPC and play it from there. Or I might just midi my bass track through the sound module if it sounds like sh*t on the 16 levels

getting a mpc is a smart move if your getting into sampling. i just got mine a litle over a week ago and ive been sampling the s*** ot of it. i prefer using my triton for the keys. but i also use a mac g5 for all my recording. so really i like using it all its just much easier. yea its alot more learning and more money but the easier the better.
