you have to turn it on and press shift and the sample button....once in that feature press the open window button.......make sure you have some kind of return policy...becuz ain't nothing like dropping doe on that ish and coming up short.....open it up carefully and check the ram board...if it registered on your screen leave it alone......good luck in your purchase and happy beatmaking.......

The guy reckoned it had a full compliment (32mb?) but how can I tell?
Also is there any thing else I should be looking for to check it's ok?
(Never used one before!)
Many thanks.
oh yeah...why don't you share the price......who knows the value better than mpc owners?.....so tell us and we will advise

goatboy2 wrote:That's great. Exactly what i wanted! Thanks for the reply....used......that is not a good deal........for $1099 you can buy a new one......and for about $80 more you can buy the zip disk to install instead....and ram cost close to nothing if you get it from the right ppl...not ones ripping you off.....i think you should explain more b4 copping it....![]()
And it's 595 GBP- which is about $1040 I think.
Oh yeah... and it's not boxed and no manual... but looks in good nick!
Got a question but first let me explain my setup. I am using Sonar 2XL software. My controller board is a Motif ES8 amoung a total rack system. All of my patches and controlls are done thru Sonar. All I want to do is sync up the MPC to kick on and keep time with my sequences in Sonar. I mostly complete my drum sequences in the MPC and put my patch cords directly in my mixer for direct sound input. All I want it to do now is when I record my sequences in Sonar with the keyboard that the drum machine kicks on and keeps time. I am syncing via MTC. but it does not trigger. Anyone have any help they can give?

you still haven't justified the reason to buy a used one for $80 less........invest in your music....don't just throw money around...
