mpc 1000 price drop? $799 new

i got mines $879 brand new after it was out a few months.

I find it very odd that they've dropped the price $200. I've read all the post about the 2.0 os and understand that it runs on the same hardware. I'm just really curious why it is suddenly going for so much cheaper. Yeah, not stupid at all. And not odd that they're dropping the price. In case you haven't noticed, news of the new OS is ALL OVER the internet. christmas is a month away. Akai stands to make BANK this holiday season. Lots of new MPC1K owners poppin' up.

the reason i asked was because over the space an hour i noticed some ids created all of which asked equally dumb questions. i thought someone was having a wind-up. i wasnt sure if this was the same person so i asked. thats all. sorry if your feelings got hurt.

I've seen news bout the new os on some french forum, and on some hungarian forum.
On the french forum a guy claimed he got the 1.99.0065 or suttin, don't know how liable he is though.
The hungarian forum's source seemed to be you.
Ah, I've also seen some ish in russian that seemed to be about that (haven't really read tho).
So Europe has been contaminated with endless hope as well.
