EB-20 Fx CARD FOR THE MPC2000(OG)

what up

is the mpc2000 classic able to use the eb-20 fx card? or is it the eb-16fx card the one?

just curious, because im thinking of purchasing a mpc2000 studio plus and dude says it has the eb-20 fx card.....

wanted to make sure that this is true

the 2000 and 2000XL use the EB-16.

a 30-second google search (hint hint) brought me to this page:

Which says that the EB-20 is the card for the akai s5000.

Either:

1)your boy is mistaken, and called it the wrong name

or

2) your boy somehow put the s5000 board into the mpc. It wouldnt work, as far as I know, and I dont think it would even physically fit.

If you've ever used a 2000 or a 2000XL, or have the manual (hint hint) which is available at the akai homepage (hint hint), you can go to the mixer screen on the mpc and navigate to the Effects screen. If you have no effects board, the MPC will show a picture of palm trees (???) on an island and say "EB-16 Effects board not installed".

If it doesnt say that, but instead gives you effects controls onscreen---then it IS installed.

better off getting some external multi fx so you can sampled the wet sounds, and the 8 outs will make it alot more flexible

YES THATS TRUE TOO... BUT THE INTERNAL FX STILL HELP. DIFFERENT STROKES FOR DIFFERENT FOLKS.

yeah i already have the ensoniq dp-4 pro for my effects...

i was just wondering if the eb-20 was the card that came with the mpc2000 studio plus....

dude that was trying to sell it to me said it had the eb-20 not the eb-16 so i wanted to getsome opinons and advice on this.

it would be nice to have my dp-4 and the fx card in the studio plus
