I might be trippin but it seems like alot of newer 12" or cheaply made albums distort a little on the highs like there not made right, but on older records like maybe <95 it's not like that. I'm talkin brand new or NM >2000 12" vs surface scratched 1980 12" the 80 would win on sound quality IMO. IDK maybe I'm trippin anyone else notice this.

i dont have any new vinyl but it seems my 80's vinyl is real shitty compared to 60's n 70's

it the studio gear they used more analog equipment compared to what is used today more digital sound stuff, plus they prolly use more thinker and better quality vinyl back then. yeah i have noticed that many years ago but just learn to eq your records is all.

That's true ede, I'll just eq better when it comes up and not worry bout it.
