Loading S1000 Zips into 2000xl question.

Does anyone know if when I load in S1000 formatted samples into the 2000XL the conversion will be exactly the same? i.e. loop points, stereo stays stereo, bit rate and sample rate.
The reason I ask is because the S2000 reads S1000 samples and it would be nice to have all my zips in the same format and have them all be interchangable. Thanks.

The later S1000 OS versions, I dunno which one, actually uses the S3000 format, which the MPC2000XL can load.

Fro S3000 disks, the MPC see stereo s@mples as individual -L and -R. S-series s@mples do not actually use a "stereo" concept. They are actually two mono s@mples on two separate layers, panned hard left and right. MPC does not recognize keygroups, program or multi's.

In addition, the MPC may drop some loop points since the S1000 supports multiple loop points while the MPC only uses one.

the later S1000's OS is the 4.4 and yes its allow you to save sounds as S3K format if a HD is connected to your S1000.
Bit rate & sample rate stay the same even if you record a sample @48kHz...

S1k is a "better" workhorse than S2K IMO....

OS4.3 allow you to save sound as 3k file, but only whith disk bigger than 250Mo.
I use to leave my files in s1K format as i've got no s3K and most samplers read S1k files...

I only want the one loop point. Its for Sine waves among other waveforms so they can sound for a while without taking up lots of RAM.
Side note. The 2000xl is the funnest piece of gear I have ever owned. Good ish.

whut combo ur using? mpc2Kxl & S1k or MPC & S2K?

so you're talking bout S1K files that comes from CDs/floppies samples, or your own str8 from an S1K?

i'm a S1K user and i lke to share user's opinions on this sampler...

I don't own an S1000. I own software that will translate wav and aif to s1000 format. I was wondering about how the MPC will read them because the S2000 I own can read them fine and if both the MPC and S2 can, I'll save all my stuff in S1000 format. This way all disks can be interchangeable. Feel me?
