soud modules directly into mpc 2kxl

i have an mpc 2000xl and i was wondering how do i get my sound module to work with it, its a kurzweil micro piano, it has it has midi in and thru in the back of it. I went from out the mpc to into the kurzweil, but i still cant get it to play. i have it on channel one, and i made sure its on midi channel 1a on the mpc. do i need a midi keyboard, or can i use it with just the mpc, i have a triton le on layaway right now so i should be gettin one soon anyway, i just wanted to know.

That should be all you need to do. Have you got the audio out of your kurzweil module going into a mixer or something so you can hear the sound?

2kxl midi out 1a, main menu, track = midi 1a device 01
whatever sound you have in your piano that is assigned to midi inst 01 will play out in the mpc midi track 1a.
