Can I assign a Sequence Start command to a drum pad?

I have external drum triggers hooked up to an electronic drum set, but I'd like to trigger the beginning of a sequence with a drum pad instead of just a sound, so I can play live drums in time to my suequences with the ability to restart them if I get off time.
Can I assign a sequence start command to a drum pad?
