hello, im new

hey i bought my mpc 2000xl, about a week ago and have only really messed about with it a lil, im really enjoying using it, but there is one really newbie question i am going to ask, please be considerate lol
when i put my one note bass sample to 16 levels through the 16 levels button i cannot use the keyboard as a controller for all the notes, please help!!

yeh it doesnt work like that, try investigating the auto chrom feature in your manual... it will make a new pgm of that bass sample mapped across your keys that your can play externally via midi and sequence with the mpc
