Midi Sync

Hi,

before starting dissing me, I read every thread about midi sync and stuff like that, but it still drives me crazy.
I would really appreciate some hints.

My environment is an MPC 2000CXL (OS 1.14) and Logic Express.

I tried (think so) every scenario I can imagine.
Now I´m into the following:

Midi Out from my Computer to Midi In at my MPC.
Midi/Sync Options on MPC on Midi Clock and correct Port (2).
Logic on Sync Mode Internal (or Midi Clock, doesnt matter, tried both, works both) and Logic sends Midi Clock to my MPC.

I can record into Logic, of course at the beginning of my song at the MPC there is a blank 2 bar sequence. (tried also 4 blank bars). Midi Thru on the MPC is off. Everything works fine.

BUT I always get a small amount of delay on my tracks in Logic (especially when layering longer samples).
I messed around with the Delay options for Midi Output in Logic, but that didnt help.
I also tried additionally a sync out of my MPC to Midi In on my Computer, but I think its not necessary cause the MPC should be slaved.
I could always record, the MPC started playing from Logic and all worked fine, but this fff delay is still there.

I also tried Midi Time Code, but that doesnt work in Song-Mode, only on the sequence.

I know it have to work under logic, there must be something I forget.

My questions are:

- Has somebody hints for eliminating the delay and
- why is midi time code **** up in song-mode?
