i wondering if any of u guys know if since the lcd on my old anolog synth crapped i cant get to the midi functions. so i dont have a midi keyboard. but in the notes on chainer is says that one of the features is that u can use the qwerty keyboard as a midi leyboard. but in the program there is no information of how to do this. i have fiddled around with all i know to do and cant make it work. so has anybody got this to work???????? also i was wondering- forget the midi note numbers in the mp but if ur program is allready chromatic just in the samples then would'nt if u had a midi keyboard could'nt it be in cromatic order because the pads are cromatic at that point? if anybody could help with this it would be so cool. expecially the first q. i just want to beable to hear the synth before i make a program for it so i know if it sounds good because it takes so long to do. thanks.

in chainer select "none" as the midi input> open up the soft synth> make sure to click on the chainer window(if the soft synth is "active" you wont hear anything when you use the qwerty) it's the bottom 2 rows of keys that'll trigger the soft synth

if you use a computer at all it will be the same thing. the file and folders you setup on the CF card or hard drive are the same as looking at windows explorer. what you put in is what you see. on the mpc, (at this time) there isn't a sort option.

there is no midi output setting in chainer(not the demo i have anyway). when you insert a soft synth in chanier, chainer will fall to the background and become "inactive", to hear anything when you use the qwerty you have to click on the chainer window (anywhere on the border will do) and yes, it worked for me
