Basslines?

how do you guys go about it..an what do you use to create them..as for me when i sample i'll lower the bit rate cut the highs an mids to the orginal sample..if that makes sense..an jus play it off my 49e

I usually replay the bassline from the motif......

i never use low end theory because it bores me. i respect the time from which it came and the people who used it, but in my opinion people using it today should move on.

i first use a standard bass pgm and then interpolate it w/ a maelstrom or nnxt. or i sample it from an electric bassist and reconstruct the bass the way i want it done.

I have to agree.I prefer to use upright bass samples and just make my own bas sline.

I use it from time to time. I mainly just play a new one out on the fantom

let me briefly rephrase because i suddenly feel a little harsh

i think it's cool, and it can indeed be used. but that shouldn't be the ONLY part of the bass. use it, go right ahead - but switch it in and out with a newly composed bass which occupies the same frequencies and i'm happy as a bum in an unwatched shoe store
