Getting A "buzzing" Sound When Recording From MPC To PC..

It's probably the cheap ass speakers right? ... I hope so. Anyhow, what is a good setup I should have to prevent this? Or is it possibly just the cable? I tried turning the volume a bit lower but when I play it back, I hear the buzzing noise. What should I try?

you may reinstall your soundcard. that worked for me. or better, get a soundcard with Jacks or XLR.

i get a buzzing noise when i record from my mpc into my Mbox 1. i used cables my local music store provided (they knew what equipment i was setting up) and i *DO NOT* get a buzz when recording from my turntable>mixer>mbox so i have ruled out the computer as a problem. any ideas?

its one of your audio or power cables, something with a short in it maybe too close to it when yall are recording....

try different cables to see if it works, not only audio, but power cables and moving them around a lil bit, like as far as u can get them not touch on top of other cables and things like that

you know, now that i think about it, even though my tables have ground wires on them...every once and a while one of them will make a spark noise and stop spinning..maybe the ground is bad, ill try unhooking that table then record again.

if that doesnt work, try some more of the power AC lines, by moving the machine as far back as possible that u can, cause the AC line can give off a bad noise also
