mpc 2000 tilted screen

haha. and there you have it. great job. i see you used tape to cover the open space. the only open space on mine is in front like you have yours. but nothin is covering it...i want something a little more attractive then tape, but i guess it'll have to do for now.

lol dstruct i feel you. well since i wasnt blessed enough (i guess) to be able to get the xl, i got the 2k. my 2k does everything it needs to do. i can do without the extra features like the xl. but i wanted my screen tilted, it was easy so I did it! and im glad i did

theres a difference in the data wheels??

im just asking because i just got my MPC (its used and has a few kwerks like the f1 button is broke its plain jane
..no upgrades.. no efx .. and only the floppy no scsi or HD) but i got it with a korg trinity as a package deal for 900$
so i figured what better time to get one ... and ive still only used it as a sequencer .. i dont even have a TT .. i dont sample much im more into
playing the keys .. when i do sample i like to chop it into minute pieces and build a kit with a sampled phrase or something like that ...

The MPC2000 data wheel got the main Data wheel spinner, that trims, and does all the yadada, yadidimean?>?> Then on the outside of the datawheel is a spring ring, which is useful for selecting higher digits to trim, etc.

The MPC2000XL just got a str8 wheel..a nd in order to get skip/get higher digits when trimming you gotta hold shift+arrow key...

the 2000's is a lot nicer.. more on the go

Can the 2000XL's jog wheel somehow be replaced by the 2000's jog wheel, purely for aesthetic purposes; as I understand that the outer part of the wheel wouldn't function within the 2000XL but perhaps the main part would?

If so is there anywheer you can buy the white jog wheels?

I think the white wheel looks sooooo much better than the black.

On a side not has anyone modded the black wheel so that it is now the white colour?

The data wheels are not interchangeable. If u realy want a white wheel, then paint it
