Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

kick me if this question has already been answered or point me to the appropriate post. :-)
I am looking to buy a gig bag for my mpc 2000xl, however, so far I've found 2 and they vary alot in price. There is the syntaure gigbag for $29.99 and VST seems to be selling one for $89 that has the Akai logo. So, I am curious as to which one is better? or if anybody had any problem with any of them?

Please let me know.
Thank you.

i would suggest looking for a 'flight case'

it will provide the most security from drops, sliding around the trunk, etc

Is there one you recommend or are using?
When I was at GC, they recommended some turntable carrying case.

i made a custom case out of ply wood and some case accesories from the local hardware joint, bit of foam from clark rubber and its as good as one i would have paid 3 times more for..

I like the idea of a padded bag, since it would probably be easier to carry.

lined a technics 40 record (or there abouts) bag with a layer of high density then inside that a layer of medium all around, and some soft foam on the front for the knobs. total cost was about $100 AU inclusive.

Works a treat :D
