There seems to be a weird issue with the audio in thru. If it's on, and a mono source is plugged into the left or right record input, and there is nothing being played, noise creeps into the signal, and rises in volume until either a signal from the mpc or from the external sound source is played. Doesn't seem to be there once the unit is making sound, but it's a little distracting to have white noise creeping up in volume whilst you're doing some programming. The noise sounds different depending on which side of the stereo pair you have plugged in, and is there whether the main record level volume is turned all the way up or all the way down. Not a major problem, as the noise goes away once something is being played through the outputs, but strange all the same.

edit: just seems like a more powerful lowpass but i don't know, i might be missing something?

coughcoughitsinthemanualcoughcough... my bad man, here ya go:

"LOW PASS 2: The resonance gain of this filter is set higher than "LOW PASS". It can be done the self - oscillation if the resonance value is set to very high."

lol think they need a better translator for that manual?

sumedho wrote:The level bug seems to occur with pgms made using Bluebox. My pgms that I made using the mpc itself work fine with the new version. Maybe if someone else can check this out as well.

Just installed my HD...40GB of sample storage... and playing with the filters...OMFG, filter + pitch on realtime and fed through the delay :D

I think you got somethin there...

freezerman wrote:This approach is incredibly unpractical. What we need is one (short) thread per problem/issue with a clearly stated thread title identifying a problem/issue (e.g. system reset with new OS, pads level up to 100 etc.). Not a massive (soon to become too long) thread where nobody can eventually find any useful information amidst the high amount of blabber this forum inevitably generates.

that's in the manual. that's the command to return the mpc to original factory settings.

oh oops. still not sure though. what the hell does "It can be done the self - oscillation if the resonance value is set to very high." mean?

got some ?????s

1.i am messing wit timestretch i got this sample and i want the tempo 109 once i make it 109bpm it no longer fit 109 in a 4/4 seq what am i doing wrong?
what did you insert as the original tempo? you have to know the original tempo in order to properly stretch your sample.

hutchthemack wrote:2.this picthshift stuff do you use it before you ts or after i know you dont always need to use i am just fooling around
you can use the pitchshift before or after your stretch the sample and you're right you don't have to use PS.

Exactly what it says, that if you set the resonance to a high level, the filter will self oscillate. Basically, instead of the resonance emphasing harmonics at the filter's cutoff point, which is what normally happens, you'll have a full blown sine wave with it's frequency at the filter's cutoff point

if your going for the note repeat function of "holding the tap tempo" you can still use your midi keyboard to triger the note repeat while holding the button.

i didnt bother before the update. i have a gig CF card and the extra gig didnt seem appealing enough to take the mpc apart.

the hard drive has not been formatted thru my computer. when i do the usb connection thru my mpc, the drive is recognized thru disk management as 80 gigs but it doesnt mount the drive in my computer. only option is to initialize it but that fails.

thanks for the fast response.
