unless your a dushe and Keep the old OS for the Glitch.

I cant see the logic in switching back and forth for the glitch.

hypes, i think what he means is that whenever he wants to implement the glitch into his production, he reloads 1.07 if he doesn't want to use it, he keeps 2.1 loaded on his mpc.

imo, i wouldn't do that just for one thing. i would try to find another way to emulate that result using the new os. i wouldn't keep swapping os's just for that.

yeah, that's exactly what i'm trying to say. i've loaded the old one in more
than a couple of times to still play with the glitch, but still im lovin the new
features of the 2.1.
until now, i just haven't found as good as way to emulate the sound of it so
i'll just pop the 1.7 in every now and then, because for me, that's really
what makes 1k so special.

i love jessiah glitch, such a special sound

what i badly want to do is try sampling something first onto my sp404 in lofi and then resample onto the mpc and then jessiah glitch it.

that would sound so sick....

if akai implemented the jessiah glitch as an effect, maybe instead of that useless bit grunger, i'd consider actually using the effects on the mpc

yeah, the jessiah glitch is truly special. i've made a few loops glitch'd on 1.07,
recorded them to my computer and then back to 2.1. i just don't want to let
go of that special feature.. it's been a good part of my beatmaking since i
learned it from here, and i too would change it for a any of the effects of
the mpc (maybe all of them).

i think it looks pretty cool myself, i like the color scheme and the sight of it in the studio.

in the teachings of my parents, being happy/cocky/content/complacent all leads to failure of some kind

i'm not saying their teachings are right, but unfortunately they've stuck with me and will continue to keep me unhappy for all my life...

No problems here. It actually runs smooth since I put the (PNY 256 Ram) in there. When I had the 128 (IBM) in there it would spazz out.
