my floppy drive has went out or for some reason not reading and i've been on this thought for a while can you put a cdrw on this joint or is this not possible?i'm not feeling the flopy and i have a zip 100 and 250 but i want to load my startup off cd.

You might be able to hook up a scsi cd-rw to the 2000 or 2000xl for that matter but you will only be able to use it for reading, not for writing.

i want to just have it so it can read the os i'm tired of them b.s. floppy disk

Better get yourself a scsi cdrom then, they're cheaper than the scsi cd-rw.

Keep in mind though that the mpc 2k classic doesn't read standard format cdroms.

I don't think that you install an internal atapi zipdrive in an mpc 2k classic AFAIK.

It's not a powersource question, it's more a problem of missing internal connectors needed to connect and internal atapi zip drive.

no internal ide connector in the 2k classic.

no internal atapi drive, sorry buddy.
2kxl does though, hehe.
