When you run out of wax/ Softsynths too expensive

I need some sounds to mess for when I dont have a fresh stack of wax, so Ive been looking at some softsynths/rack modules. I was checking out the arturia synth that emulate arps and moogs and the pro 5, and they are like 250 buks each. Dont you think that is a little steep, when you could get a motif rack for like a grand? Could the Moog emulation hang with even a microkorg(I have one). What do yall do when you dont have some fresh wax(besides go cop some more)?

$1000 = 4 x $250 so that's a couple of softsynths.

Yes the Emulation is much better than a MicroKorg.

i use reason, but recently i've been having the same problem. often, the issue is in your head - you're not hearing the right sound and you're not doing the right things with them. i'm not knocking you, if anything i'm knocking myself.

i can't produce shit these days, it's killing me.

yea word but is 4 softsynth better than the thousands of sounds that comes with a modern rompler. And word? better than the micro korg? Ill def take a second look at these things.

No offense taken I have sampletank and I never even use it anymore. I made like 5 nice beats and got bored of the lame sounds real quick. All I could think was " ya, this beat is nice but if I had better sounds it would actually be a hot beat." Thanks for the responses though yall.

you can get alot of free softsynths check www.kvr-vst.com (i think)

i dont know about aturia, but in many peoples opinion, the minimonsta vst most definitely equals or betters the microkorgs overall sound quality.

those vsts are no joke...
dont get me wrong though, i still have more fun using actual hardware.

get a proteus2000, those are real cheap, and got loads of nice sounds.

In my opinion...forget softsynths go to your local video store..

there's actually a LOT of good documentary videos with great melody samples on em. go to your library.

old skool sci-fi movies, they usually have spacey & trippy sounds...

done it. Actually Ive been digging in my floppydisks and just taking random sounds and trying to put em together. I have like 1000 disks so those are fun to go through sometimes.
