turntable and mpc

hey i just started sampling off of records i usually was sampling off of old school cd's, but the only thing is i get tired of putting my turntable to my mixer, and then my mixer to my mpc, then using head phones to sample. Im doing it like this for the fact that i have an external amp that powers my speakers. But how many of you all have a pre amp box so you can just connect it turntable to mpx stereo in and what would be the best way to have this set up.thanks.

hey jackass i know that i got one. if you would of read i said im tired of having to keep switching cords. that why i was asking if anybody had a set up with a little pre amp box so they can run the turntable str8 to record in.Pay attention. Sorry to get out of character.

But anyway I dont recommend turntable straight to mpc because u cant eq the sounds going in.

i use the radial j33 riaa turntable pre amp. it runs around 200 bucks. there are cheaper ones out there...

yea why do u have to keep disconnecting them...

just hook up the one of the busses, or aux outs to your mpc's input...it's f'n simple...

i'm talking about real mixers here, not dj mixers...?:o

i have a real mixer. i got all my equipment into my mixer than my mixer out to my mbox 2 than that goes out to my monitors. so for me to sample in i have to plug my mixer out into my mpc record in. i got to take out those cords.

setup everything going into your mixer, then have the aux sends going to your mpc. keep all the aux knobs down to minimum, and then when you want to sample something to your mpc, just turn up the aux send on the channel that you want to sample (the deck).

I run my 1200's through my 05 Pro which has 2 Stereo Outputs. 1 set goes to the 2496 inside the PC the other set goes to the input of the MPC. MPC and PC route to an external mixer which then connect to the Rokit 8s.
