If you don't use SCSI, then you don't need to fix it. Call VST for info on fixing the SCSI fuse/chip/board, cost and such, if you want it fixed. I'd just install an internal card reader.

I went to the store and deceided to waive my full refund and keep the unit. Not only that but they knocked $214 off the price. I got those internal and external zip drives and 29 blank zip disks coming from ebay($27).
So I have an MPC2000 classic, 32mb RAM, 8 outs, 2 internal zips, 2 external zips and 29 disks
total cost=$672.54USD

does any other settings need to be changed in my mpc2000xl for my zip to function... i have it terminated, and on ID 5 but im still getting an scsi error. any help would be the shiz.

so once you have it plugged in, and the switches ready on the back the only thing you need to do to operate it, is select it in the save/load screen right? if so, then yeah something might be wrong with the cable.
