having trouble burning wavs

im using an mpc 2000(not that it matters)
the only way ive been sampling as of right now is with a standard cd players digi out to the mpc digi in.
i downloaded all these samples(drums, loops, effects, ect....)
so ive been burning them using nero to a regular audio cd. my problem is on nero alot of the stuff i downloaded, when draged into nero says. file format not supported(they are .wavs). they only other burning program i have is real player, and that says that they are too short.
im guessing that they are mpc format or somthing.
any help or a differnt free program?

ohhh i just looked at the properties and it said the format is pcm

I have had this problem with Nero. If they are wavs, I think Nero will only accept them for audio CD burning if they are 16bit stereo. Even then it gets quite choosy, and I found I had to open and resave wav files (exported in Cubase SX) in Wavelab. Someone told me to change the broadcast wav settings for cubase but that didn't seem to help. Anyway, check what exact format the wav files are and try resaving them as 16bit stereo in a wave editor.

PS I don't think, if they're wav extension PC files, they are "MPC format".

are you trying to burn them as wav files to load into the mpc, or as audio files to sample into the mpc (from a standard cd player)?

if the former then it does make a difference that you are using a classic 2000. see the "newbie question" post.

hows the looping going, by the way? getting the hang of it?

im trying to burn them audio and sample them with the standard cd player. u might of read the post before i edited it, i found out the they are pcm format and that might have somthing to do with it

for looping the drum beat. never got the hang of it. ive been manually punching them in. but im gonna keep practicing , but i think i might take the easy way out, and start using some computer programs. since i have none for right now. by the way any suggestions for 1st programs(i had some experience with reason, but like the mpc a lot better), i basically want to use somthing to make looping break loops easier, and to do timestrecting and other things that the xl can do over the classic

RECYCLE!!! + MPC EDITOR... no time stretch, but you can probably find one for free (or cheap) somewhere. for the time being, pm me and i'll send you a step by step method for chopping beats by hand. cheers.

Sounds like you want/need a wave editor.. I use sound forge 7.0..

would i be able to copy these files to a 3 /12 inch floppy as .wav then load them in the mpc?

This was something that a few people were discussing and that when burning cds to load onto the mpc 2000, the mpc 2000 was not reconizing the disk or the material on the disk.......but if you save the wavs to a floppy u should have no problem
