mixer or 16 track?

if i get a mixer or a 16 track, will i be able to hook my korg keyboard to the ins and outs and same wit my 1000 and be able to record the keyboard sounds into the mpc while in overdub??? - i am not trying to control anything with the keyboard, i juss want the sounds from the keyboard to record into the mpc if possible

If u get a 16 track trackrecord it can be your mixer and recording interface. You will be using MIDI to control sounds from your korg. Do you have everything already?(keyboard, mpc,...)

i got the 1000 , korg keyboard, and midi cables

all you need to do is connect your keyboard to the mpc with midi cables and connect your keyboards output to a mixer.

on the mpc, select which midi device you're using, hit record + play and bang them keys

Also he needs to connect his MPC to the mixer.

Audio Connections:
MPC Audio OUTS to Mixer
Korg Audio OUTS to Mixer

MIDI Connections:
MPC MIDI OUT to Korg MIDI IN
Korg MIDI OUT to MPC MIDI IN

Settings:
Korg-Turn Local Control Off
MPC-Set Drum to MIDI on the track screen and make it correspond with the midi channel being used in the Korg.

With the connections i have given u it will allow you to hear the keyboard and mpc. Lets say you lay down your drum pattern then want to add a bassline then a guitar. Jus use different tracks for each thing and you good to go.
