MPC1000 and ?

I recently got the MPC 1000 and I also downloaded Audacity. What other PC based software can you suggest I have. I've heard a few, but what's the best?[/b]

The best for what? You can use Reason with it if you need synths and stuff. You can use Cool Edit for recording. I mean the list goes on for years.

ay jesus just use reason wit pro tools, if not reason just get a sound module and record into pro tools simple and plain main and it matters what u wanna use software fo

best mean a bunch of different things to different people.

what is it that you wanna do with this software?

what features do you need the sfotware to have?

do you have the required minimum computer hardware
to decently run the software you want?

I just need it to dump my songs from MPC to the PC. At this point I have no expertise in mixing, but this will also help me as I get more equipment and start to use midi.

As an emcee, I've always saw protools and logic when I go to the studio and record.


Thanks for all of your input and the "best" isn't my concern after thinking about it again. Since I'm a newbie I need the most user friendly software.

ive never used pro tools or logic, but you cant go far wrong with cubase sl, its very user friendly.

That would be the best in my opinion.

You can do quite alot with Ableton Live 5, so check out the demo version, as well as the videos @

Sounds like you already have what you need.

You just need to get busy experimenting with that
so you can get started. You don't need much to get started and
to be able to dump tracks into pc at all.

I don't know why alot of people think that.
