Dustcover for MPC2000XL

when i go to sleep i just throw my shirt on it and when im not sleepin im using it and when im not using it i just leave the shirt on it, my room has xtra static cuz of my carpets and everytime i touch my mpc i get electrified now is this really bad for the mpc? or not too bad?

Just make sure the MPC os grounded, if the power cable has that third plug it should be fine.

Getting shocked? Thats just the built up static electricity finding its way to the ground through the metal case of your MPC, shouldn't harm it. you could try wearing shoes or something with a thick soul so the carpet doesnt crate static with your feet.
I dunno man, bottom line go dig for records and sample them and make some music, stop asking people over the internet what to do.
