Listen to behind the beats, sounds like he was sitting on most of the beats on bean's and hov's album for a minute. He totally flipped shit on Bonnie and Clyde '03, that track wasnt crazy but damn kanye came with it... I give major props to kanye for bringing samples back in to the game in a major way... he didnt do it alone, but he played a major major role...

the way i look at it is, if you can do your own style the best, but still have knowlege and a understanding of others then you are a dope creative artist.

when an producer becomes an hott item alot of their trax will start to sound the same. it's happened w/ every producer that i can think of that's dropped in the last 10 years. timbaland,dre,swizz,neptunes etc... They all had a point at which all their trax sounded the same. They all cam back with hot new ish. I think alot of it might be to where the artists are coming to them wanting that hott sound that's got everybodys ear and when it dies down the producer introduces some new ish they been workin on all the time.

Bringing samples back to the game? Samples never left... Timbaland even uses alot of samples and so does DRE... next episode was some David Axelrod sh*t wasn't it? And VIC flipped that sample better than that like back in 1998 on that missing linx track MIA... sampling never left... just popped off better BELOW the surface.

To get acapellas from a track the best you can do is focus on the specfic freq of there voice...

Use a BP filter in the MPC BP filter 4+ usually allows enough highs through and enough muffled low filter to get rid of most sounds...

Ive made many songs using this method and before the MPC the process was usually done on the computer which is too time consuming....
