i need to stay in more,,,,as you know thats where to music is being made,,and working all day and then havin about 4 hours to make a joint kinda sucks

and to no i dont have a link yet iv olny been making beats for about 4 weeks

I was just messin around man, thats the problem with these forums, you cant tell if someone is being sarcastic. I feel you on the 4 hour thing man, but if I dont work all day, then there will be NO quality time spent with the MPC with no damm electricity. LOL And now that Im in bartending school after work as well, I only have the weekends to mess around with it.

Oh and I have to fit in QT for my girlfriend..... well my other one any way, not the one in my sig.

It's one hell of a powerful machine tho'. The oldskool OS is a downside but tha 2K Classic is still gangsta!

If dude was smart, he would of kept both of them and midi them together. One machine is a great sampler while the other is a great drum machine/sequencer. This combo has worked for me for years.

I used the ASR for 11 years til I got this 2000xl...I like the MPC more but I'll never get rid of the ASR...the tempo only being able to do 93, 94, 95 got tiredto me...I love how the MPC can get to 93.7 or 93.1...makes a BIG difference to me...but it's all good...you new to the ASR or you're good with it?

We are officially not an item any more. the ASR-10 does things to a beat you couldn't imagine....girl is a freak. I officially am a completely converted ASR-10 ONLY user. Not an MPC user. WHO GOT BEEF?!?!?!?!

why limit yourself .. why limit your music to one single machine.
being an artists , producer of music is almost like being a mechanic...
the more tools in your box the more elaborate repairs you can make.
by limiting your self to just the asr your overlooking the world of other
musical possibilities, every instrument / machine adds its own unique
feel to a track or its own color and with the way technology is today
youd really be cutting yourself short by limiting yourself like that ...

IMHO i would say try to find a way to integrate the asr into your studio as it is .. with the MPC and what ever else you have ... experiment ... play ..
the dont call studios LABS for nuttin .. if your not pushing the envelope, then your just pushin buttons ..

can you dig that.
