no, the EXM128 only has chips on one side, the side that the mpc can read. the 256 is necessary, because laptops read both sides, hence there's 128 per side . go ahead and try the one you mention, i believe hynix make the exm128, so you might be lucky.

Your reply was "no", but then at the same time you say 256MB is necessary to obtain a full 128. So do you mean "Yes, I can use this HYNIX PC133 CL3 SODIMM 256MB chip to upgrade my MPC2500? This situation worked for the MPC1000, but I'm asking if this same thing applies to the MPC2500. I need to upgrade my MPC2500 and everyones talking about the MPC1000.
