Ok, I know this is the mpc forum, but I got a MPD 16 pad and was wondering if anyone could help me. I always worked with .wav files and not anything midi and now I can't get the MPD 16 pad to work. I use the Delta 1010LT soundcard and don't know how to get the pad to work. There is no sound coming through, there is no sign of any signal. I'd appreciate any help. THANX.

you'll need some kind of program to play samples. the mpd is just the pads of the mpc. it just tells the computer which pad was hit, and how hard. do you have any sequencer programs in which you could use a VSTi?

Thanks. I wanna use it with Adobe Audition (ex-Cool Edit Pro). I tried everything in Device Preferences and Settings in Audition, I tried everything in the control panel of the soundcard, but no signal of any kind.

Like I said, I always did things audio, not midi, so I don't know where to begin. Thanx.

right audition is mainly an audio editor/audio sequencer. i know it can do audio effects, but not sure whether it can do vstis. you'll need a vsti sampler to play samples, and you record the midi notes that come from the mpd.

What's VSTI? You can do midi on Audition.

I checked out your beats, sounds cool. I'm curious what your influences are? Great to hear ladies on the beats, wow.

I'm assuming I can use the mpd with Fruit Loops? I guess Audition won't work with the MPD right?

THANX!

basically right.

fruity loop = yes , will work

audition... you could rig it up to work in a limited way, but it's not really the right program for what ur trying to do.

Ok, thanx agains, I read the whole thing and I'm actually playing this via FL. BUT, the hits are so DELAYED, why? Is that how wack this is, or am I doing something wrong? I tried pad sensitivity but it's not really changing much.

Is there anyone from AKAI on this MB? Is this pad that weak? Half the sounds I played don't come through. HAhahaha. What's this supposed to be?

it's not the pad, that is doing it's job fine. it's more likely to be your computer. try playing with the audio settings. what computer and audio interface/souncard do you have?
