Save the same sound to multiple pads and change their names?

When I load sounds to the pads of the 2000xl. I might like a sound and want to save the sound on to more than one pad. I will then tweak the sounds (which all have the same name). I want to save these sounds with different names. I tried to do so in PROGRAM mode but was unable to.

make multiple copies of the same sound and assign those copies to the different pads.
