Help!

Thanx Modnar. I use a PC, 937 MHZ, 384 MB of RAM, with the Delta 1010 LT soundcard. Playing with different options in settings; I tired everything I could and nothing worked. Could this be that since the midi out from the MPD goes via USB to the comp and not the midi in in my soundcard? By this I mean that if the USB isn't directly connected to the soundcard but the microsoft midi mapper or whatever which causes the "signal" delay. There is the option of using a midi out cable and a DC adaptor instead of just the USB cord, could this be it? Any feedback appreciated. Sorry for jumping the gun on this, but before I hit this forum, I googled the MPD for info on setting up etc and found mostly negative reviews of the pads, so I was like; ok, I see what they meant.

Yeah, the reason I can't try the DC adaptor with a midi in out VS the usb is cause I only have a M audio 1 end USB and the other midi in and out.

your computer is quite slow for doing real time stuff. how else do you make tracks? try reason, that's excellent. i really think you should drop it about the pads, it ain't them, it's your computer that's causing the delay.

Does anyone know what would be the minium requirenments for my comp to play it in real time?

get the fastest pc you can afford. a general rule for me at least is to spend no less than £1000. because computers are far cheaper over there, that would probably translate to about $1000 or so American $s. if you find someone you know who can build you one and who knows what they're doing, you can't go wrong.

I think your soundcard may be worth more than your PC!
