Both of these tracks are quality work. Enjoyed listening to both a couple of times - both very strong in different ways. Couldn't say one was better than the other, went for the draw.

patrick swayze.

Antonym wrote: it is my 2nd most recent, and has a couple tricks that i just recently pulled out of my sleeve after being influenced by the deep editing production style of one of my cohorts. It also features a simple yet moving groove that hits in two places, as well as customary switches and vocal samples utilized in a battle sense.

in future, please try and leave this kind of sanctimonious university speak at the door, only it really turns my stomach.

arrogance: overbearing pride evidenced by a superior manner toward inferiors.

sanctimonious: holier-than-thou; excessively or hypocritically pious; "a sickening sanctimonious smile"

i had to vote for nym on this, reall catchy sh!t. i have a question though -

nym - are you doing your sampling on the 1k or in reason or something? obviously you are doing the drums on the 1k, but i was wondering about everything else...just sounds clean. just curious...

yeah i knew sanctimonious modnar i was just playing around.

rocknoid - sampling on the mpc1000 and sp404, both. but the 1000 houses all the samples.

clean? that surprises me, since i added quite a bit of record hiss in the final mix.

did you get every single sample on separate tracks in whatever tracking software you used?

yeah each sample was tracked separately. gets tedious but the results are best that way.
