How come I can't sample from a Wav. file (a song) from my PC and put it in my MPC??

What do you mean you cant?

I haven't got an xL so i'm not entirely sure on the layout but cant you just save the sample to a zip disk, floppy, hard drive or whatever storage medium you've got the load it up in the MPC?

Failing that, you could always hook the computer's outs to your Stereo in and sample it that way.

Oh, and is the WAV from the pc 16-bit. 44.1khz?

The sample I want to put in my MPC is 665kb, and when I try to load it in to the MPC it says "Disk read error". Is it because of the Floppy drive? Cause this happens almost everytime I try to load a sample, the "Disk read error".

Is your sample 44khz 16 bits ?

the problem is ur floppy disk that u save one. floppies get corrupt easlly. u should get a external drive like a zip drive. or u can change the internal drive for a multi card reader

Select the wav file in your file explorer and look up it's properties.

When I went to the properties of the sample, this is what it said:

Bit Rate: 1411kbps
Audio sample size: 16 bars
Channels: 2 (stereo)
Audio sample rate: 44KHz
Audio format: PCM

You have the right format so it's either your drive is dying or your disk is corrupt.Try to format a brand new disk and load one sound.If it doesn't read it's the drive if it reads then it was the disk.
