Keyboard and MPC

ok so i got my motif hooked up to the mpc but when i record, its fine the first time ... but when i try to record over the first recording, with different sounds, 1 - if i change the sounds, the first recording from the keyboard changes and 2 - when i record over it, it kinda pauses and stops some of the sounds ... whats wrong?

You'll have to record the different sounds on another midi channel. Multi mode on the Motif makes this possible. Align the parts to a separate track on the mpc and record away. As far as the pauses, make sure the motif is slaved to the mpc to avoid midi loops. I have the motif es rack.

ok, i tried to a different channel, and it still didnt work ... u are talkin about where it says "Midi: 1a, etc." on the mpc right?
