cant save anything!!

everytime i try to save a new program it it says it already exists, witch is not tru but i change the name and replace and when i try to load it it says wrong file!! and also i n the save screen shouldnt it say" to:root " , mine done say that and i cant figure out how to make it! i got the mpc 1000

what are you saving, where are you saving it, etc

im trying to save in the normal place ,programs,save a seq. , but u know how it all saves to the "root" my mpc doesnt say root down there like it shows in the manuel , its blank where it should say that , the only option i got is to save it to the autoload file and it doesnt really work doning that,

i don't know how people just save everything in the same place.

ummm, have you installed the latest O/S?

normal place= where u save them where there suppose to go, like when u first get the mpc , u save under the catigories, programs in the programs file. samples under samples file.... i have the black mpc 1000 and the os is already installed

Just create a new folder... save all programs and files and all sequences and songs into that folder.


For every song = new folder.

^ wont let me start a new folder!! same name exists type shit, i even tried to up date my os to 2.10 or what ever , still nothing , im pissed!!
