Okay ive read it again, and it seems they want to charge 3000 Yens (20€/25$) for this OS once it is released... if it works i would pay that...

Anyone can confirm this?

OK I'm a professional Japanese translator, so here we go:

"Same functions as MPC2500 1.1.

Beta version will be available free from June 25. However, it is believed that even the Beta version is more stable than version 2.1.

(Please reference the MPC2500 for how to use new functions.)

Beta Version:

Beta verson can not save. Also, the beta version available will not have direct recording, but this will be available in the full release.

Future Plans:

Please use the beta version and report any bugs to us. All reported bugs will be fixed, and then a version featuring direct recording will be available for sale (3,000 JPY).

Release version is expected to be sold from the end of July or August. Once we have released the Release Version, we plan to work quickly to release an upgrade.

(Those who purchase the Release Version will receive the upgrade for free).

****NOTE: OK FROM HERE ON OUT I'M NOT TRANSLATING EVERYTHING JUST THE MAIN POINTS*****

The first thing is Grid Edit and it details how to use it. As you can see from the pictures.

The functions below that are functions not found on the MPC2500.

* Pad Function: You can assign functions to pads, i.e. tap tempo (as in the photo)

* Program Pad Assign List

Direct Translation: On this screen you can edit or set sample paramaters. If you assign the same sample to multiple pads, and you want to save the same values, press F6 (Whole) key and while holding F4 or F5 use the data wheel to specificy the ranges.

* OK guys I'm not too sure about this one because I don't own an MPC yet. I'll give it a shot though and you guys can see if you can make sense of it.

"Track 61 to 64 have been set as sample tracks. Samples can be assigned to the sample tracks and played directly. If you press stop and play again. it will play from the stopped position"

* Added a function whereby when editing samples, stereo samples can be changed to Mono.

  STEREO L=> MONO
  STEREO R=> MONO
  STEREO L+R=> MONO
  STEREO L-R=> MONO

*********************

That's it. If you have any questions let me know. Gotta run to dinner.

Peace.

wow. THIS IS SOMETHING that i have personally been pining for for ages.
imagine dropping an acapella here
or whatever else

this is just about the best news i have heard in ages.
this 3rd party operating system will make the 1000 the greatest mpc possibly of all time - simply because some programmer took an interest in it.

man i would pay so much yen

first it was 2.0 and we were all happy
then it was the 2500 and we all felt a liittle bit slighted
now this

wow
wow
wow

who the **** needs porn when you have an mpc
