_Stilo_, thanks for the pics. that satisfied my curiousity of the 2500's build quality. not too shabby for nukai. :)

What is that MPC 1000 Mutec part? And to see it in a 2500 model...hmm?

Also noticed a Blured out square patch on some of the first pics, whats with that???

:D

That Mutec part is the RAM extension, it's actually the same for the 1000 and 2500.

The "blurred" part is just a milky plastic cover over the power supply...don't know what for.

this is probably some kind of heat shield... some plastics are really low flammable.

@stilo: can you show a picture of the underside of the data wheel (the silver one, not the klick-klack-unit)?
i´d like to see how this is attached to the klick-klack-base and if it is possible to build it from alloy or stainless steel or even wood.

"oh no oh no this can´t be happening" *running away*
;-)

This is some detail on the data wheel...

The white "klick-klack" part goes into the inmost radius, meaning the outer cut-out is not really necessary. So a cylindrical wheel with a cylindrical cut-out in the bottom would work.

mmm can you confirm what it says on the CPU or is it allready know to be the same as the 1K CPU (Renesas SH3-DSP)SH7727

You're welcome folks :)
Didn't realize there's such great interest in it.

On the DSP it says

6417727F
SH3-DSP 160V

Or a similar one from the same family. Doesn't surprise me very much though, they are similar machines after all, and it cuts down on development costs.

Thanks! That's what I shot...

After a little research on the Renesas homepage it looks like it's actually the same chip, a DSP with some additional functions like USB or LCD controller.

Stilo.
