for the most part i'm not really looking at the screen when i'm using my mpc...it's kind of like a computer keyboard in that respect, i'm usually just kinda gazing off. makes me feel better because degenerative vision runs in my family so if i ever go blind i'll still be able to make tunes.
me, i'd like to make a mechanical arm for my mpc that holds my joints for me.
i know, i know...no smoke in the studio....

Im here, dont know if I'm back though.
As far as the stand for the screen, I finished that project but the stand was too bulky and just put the screen back. Instead, I put 2 L brackets in the back left and right of the mpc to tilt it.
(those screws are not screwed into the side panels)
It works fine for me. I'm about to sell my mpc1k though
Im getting a MPC2500. Not because the mpc1k sucks but because I want bigger pads, 8 outs, 4 midi outs, cd drive and ofcourse, the tilt screen. The mpc1k was my first mpc and I loved it.
This is the mpc now but I am currently still upgrading. Sold the RS7000 and the motif ES rack is commin in on monday. The HS80Ms are next. Also I plan on getting the Tascam 1082.
