2500 midi...triton extreme

i know that this should be really easy...im just stumped and frustrated a bit....im trying to make a beat i have evry thing hooked up right the mp is the master....when i play and a little melody from the triton...to the mp....i would like to put some drums over that but evrytime i change to a new sound for the next sequence the melody changes to the new sound that i changed in the triton...could someone explain ... how to get it not to change .....

i am reading the manual...i switch the triton to seq.. and the same shit happens...

This is what you need to do before you take the MPC back to the store out of frustration. On your Triton, go in to GLOBAL mode and press the MENU button. You will then press P1, there you will see a screen that should have a LOCAL CONTROL box. The LOCAL CONTROL box must be turned OFF. Then you go back into the SEQ section and every track will correlate with the MPC. Which ever output you have your TRITON hooked up to (A or B) this will be the selection you need to select on the MPC for Triton sounds. A-1 on the MPC correlates with Track 1 on your TRITON. Hope this helps some....

Why do people STAY on the same track and switch sounds?
Once you record DON'T change the sound on that track, MOVE to a different triton track and use the next sound you want AND move to a different MPC midi track just like junekat said.

Both manuals would have told you that.
