I have a song that I want to track & it has some sequences that vary in tempo (necessaryfor dramatic effect). So, say I wanna track it in ProTools or a HD recorder (ie. roland 1680)? How do I account for the change in tempo? I ask this 'cause in the past I've only tracked beats that are consistently in the same tempo.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Midi Time Code/Midi Clock or Smpte (Shift 9 on the Mp). Make sure your frame rates b/w the Mp and your DAW match.

Tempo changes wouldn't matter as both the DAW and MPC would be speaking in "absolute time" per se.

I see, EA. But what about the DAW's tempo/BPM setting? What do I set it at? Do I even need to set it? Let me know what to do. Thanks.
