I'm new to MPC's. I just picked up an MPC1000 about 2 weeks back and absolutely love it. The learning curve seems to be pretty moderate. I updated to the latest OS (well, 2.1), but have yet to upgrade the ram to allow me to slice samples. I picked up a USB cord and a 1gb flash drive for it. Enough talk, my question is, how can I record, in real time, what I am doing on my MPC, to a cd or onto my laptop? I have looked through the manual, but have not found anything, other than about midi recorders. I have tried using the stereo out and the headphone jack into my laptops microphone jack and just used the microsoft sound recorder, but the quality is SHIT. I have not used the song functions yet, I have just been making songs the hard way, using a single sequence while just muting certain tracks and using the solo function at other durations of the "song." How can I plug my MPC into my laptop to record what I am doing in real time, without sacrificing the quality? I hope this makes at least a little bit of sense. Thanks in advance for all of your help.
