Simult and any feature that the 2000XL and 3000 has the the 2500 doesn't already have would be great. So far, I am not really interested/need anything that JJ has done so far. If they really want to enhance the 2500s OS and not just re-arrange functions...they should start with my feature request thread.

Akai, please release an MPC 5000 so I can stay far away from Antonym's threads :P

So JJ OS for the 2500? So there is really no reason to buy a 1000.

Oh....and JJ will not make any money off of me

Good one jahrome hahahahahha  8)

Well, I threw up the white flag. I only desire to have peaceful conversations with Antonym...

to be truthful, why would akai let someone create a new OS,and then let them sell it?.... I don't get that one. 8)

I still think someone from behind the scenes at Numark is responsible. If a 3rd party will keep working on the OS...why would Akai continue to do the same if their product is selling?

All this is just me speculating.........

Cuz they could be affiliated with this JJ and so make money off of the OS indirectly, whilst MPC owners still think they are getting a great deal...

or because someone else is bettering their machines without akai having to pay for it

This makes sense...good business move/money maker.

Now to think Numark will let another company/entity reprogram the operating systems of their flagship products so they don't have to...is far fetched.

JJ should also focus on the 2000, 2000XL, and 3000. That would be impressive.

Basically, I was stating that I wouldn't give my money personally...then I changed my mind by saying that I would buy it for a forum member..what's dude's name?

Still skeptical about how they will go about preventing people from buying a copy and then just emailing it to forum members/friends....but then again...there are plenty of MPC users that never even heard about this forum and will spend their money regardless.....

Since the MPC 1000s OS is going to be $30...I assume it would be the same for the 2500. $30 is hard to come by for some...so I offered to help out a fellow MPC 2500 user if he really wants the OS.
