^ i have heard a lot of people say the same thing but cannot really give a valid reason why .. i my self am thinking of getting some.. i have heard them in action they sound really good to me..( of course not the greatest but for the under 600 range they are in the top... have had them side by side w\ samson monitor( unsure of model # but they were same size.... and also some krks of the same size ) .. i was more impressed w\ the behringers ....also more impressed w\ the behringer specs. over both of the before mentioned monitors.. ( but again just my opinion)
oh by the way beatnik nice setup

specs on monitors doesn't matter. You'll have to pick the monitors that sounds most natural to you. The shape of your ear colours the sound, and nobody's ear is the same. And therefore you can't really say which monitors are good and which aren't.
Those Behringers actually sounds pretty good to me, especially if you look at the pricelabel. I found tapco's is also a good option when on a budget. but really, just check what sounds best to you.
@ Smoove: those are 1/4" Jacks, also known as TRS (when balanced)
