finding the bpm of my old beats

whats up? quick question..is there ANY possible way or software i could use to find out the bpm of my beats i've done? someone needs the bpm of a few beats of mine and I have no way of getting that! i wish i could just load it back into the mpc and check, but thats not possible. any way to do this?

real easy to use, just drag the file into the window and youre good to go...

or just figure it out by looping your beat, in the mpc

Yeah, this is what I use....Sometimes its a little off though!!!!

i got used to do it the manual way. its easier for me

whats the "manual" way? how is that done?

get a loop
go to main screen, count>open window, turn count on during play
hit play all and push the pad with your loop on it at the start of the bar
adjust the bpm in main screen until the ticks match the loop

You could count the beat for 30 seconds, then x2 to get in the ball park.

oh fung I see what you sayin. I downloaded the software but I haven't used it yet. ill try both methods. thanks enotide and everyone else

as manual method. cut one BAR or many as you want of your track

then put it in a wave editor. note the sample lenght (sample end - sample start)

then :

BPM = 60 /((((sample end - sample start)/44100)/TimeSig)/Number of BAr)

Time signature = 4/4, 8/4 etc....
Number of bars = mesures

Or you could use the Tap tempo button

yea use tap tempo obv. then do my method to get it exact

chop 8 throw it in recycle .. it will tell you the BPM
