A whole session from pre preproduction to the final stereo mix
Go thru how you picked, layered, fx, the sounds, and put them all togethor to get the track (every little bit even when you decided something sucked and changed it)
Every track you put togethor, show what the grids look like, how to add ghost notes, getting that drum track perfect from just a basic kick snare hi hat, any chord progression, chords break em down for the theorist ppl out there, why you added and subtracted certain sounds, then show us when you bounced it to the mixing stage on the pc (unless you mix on the mpc)
(maybe some harder sampling like getting those tracks that are hard to loop less you chop it up, chopping up a record showing us how you progressed the initial chops of the song(play the song for us))
when ya get to the mixing stage show us why you eqed that, how ya utilized the compressor, where you added that reverb the settings, the automation you used to give it that built up, maybe a sudden rerecord idea hit you and you added that in to finish off the track
That was always my dream kinda tape, I'd pay good money just to see it regardless if iI knew it. something similar to that pulled off, I think the problem is the noobs are looking for basically how to put a beat togethor from dirt scratch, and just getting inside of someone elses head and why they do the stuff instead of this is what this does and this does (every tape i've watch) would be a great tape although it may be really long and maybe somewhat of a hassle this is the direct training you would get say you were in a studio without it being hands on
Would be a great tape, if your serious about putting it togethor, I have a insane amount of ideas, and can make sure it all moves smoothly
