Pre-Buying Questions...

I am thinking about buying a 2000XL MCD and had a few questions...

1) How big a CF card can you use?

2) Does anybody use they're computer to edit samples (Recycle), and if so do you feel the 2000 being a little slow slows down your process?

3)Can you hook up a keyboard via MIDI to spread a sample across the keys?

4) Can you use the Q-Link fader to change pitch of say a bass tone? (Like the 2500)

01.Compact flash cards - the best are 512 MB in my opinion.The biggest you can use is 1024 MB I think.There are problems with bigger capacities.

02.I use cool edit pro to edit my samples from time to time.But today for example I used time-stretching function in the machine (working with some short samples).It's up tp you - the process takes some time (if you are stretching sth like 2 bar loop),but sometimes it's more convinient to make it inside the machine.However I don't think it slows me down according to the beat creating process.

03.Yes you can do that.

04.I don't think that fader in 2000xl is a q-link one.It has less options comparing to 2500 or 1000.

For more info - look in the forum,search option works very well,just read whatever you can (have time for) and whatever you find usefull.

4 its not called a q link on the 2000xl. yes u can change the pitch/attack/decay/filter with it. as far as i remember
