hey..my mpc 4000 don´t start when i turn the power button,what would i do??

- Check the wall socket is switched on
- Check the wall socket works by plugging something else into it
- Check the fuse hasn't blown in your mains cable's plug
- Spend 20 minutes opening the MPC4000's case (see the back of the MPC4000 Reference Manaul PDF on http://www.akaipro.com for details) and check that the internal fuse hasn't blown.

thanks i did try all that.i open it aswell but nothing seems to be brooke..
what would i do??

you're sure the internal fuse on the MPC4000 isn't blown?

it's a glass cartridge fuse, mounted on the PSU board towards the rear left.

It's fairly easy to see if its filament is still intact.
Get an adult to help you if you're not sure :P

No i have checked that.. it´s nothing blown what i can see..

Did you just get the MPC? Have you had the MPC a long while? Did you recently install any option boards or memory, change HDD, CD drive?

yea i bought it of a guy in second hand,in about a month ago..i haven´t install anything on it everything was there..

:shock: Yeah, you did'nt have him demo it before you bought it? Not good... Like the other guys stated, have it checked out by someone knowledgable if you're not capable of diagnosing it yourself. Hope you did'nt get smoked on this my man.

at the begining i was forced to put out a memory card who hade felt out,but after that it was working and i have done a lot of beats on it..
but today after i did a section,and should start it over. it don´t start nothing happends..

Did you trying plugging the MPC into a different outlet. You may just have a bad wiring in yur place.

Im haveing the same problem with my 2000xlk. The Fuse dosent seem to be blown and I cant find one just like it.What did you end up doiing? Where can I get the same exact fuse from?
