people think so typical of hip hop cats.....but if you make some sort of electronic music....that is based off of hip hop or the fundementals....then you must be really intelligent ...and know all the spices of life....am I right or is someone named od3rus is kinda blind saying all hip hop is simple and just making hip hop is for the stupid cats that say "dem beatz is fire god" ........well well mr od3rus didnt you just meet the wrong well rounded dude to say that shit to!

First: Who said anything about electronic music? Also electronic music isnt based off of hiphop for the most part... I dont know where you got that... Hiphop is itself highly derivative (thats generally why most people enjoy it). This is not to say, that it is all "simple" either, (another strange conclusion to jump to) but can be made as such if one so desires.

Second: I never said sampling is illegal (although it can get one into trouble). Infact it can be done with quite a bit of style and ingenuity, but I have yet to see much of that here.

Third: Do yourself a favor, learn to spell and write sentences, it really would help you get your ideas and points across. Being unable to type makes it quite difficult to cast dispersions on another person's intelligence.

Fourth: You guys are so easy to piss off, its mildly hillarious, all it takes is making remarks regarding one genre of music? I make a sarcastic generalization, and you take it upon yourselves, showing it to be quite true.

Fifth: Drop the egos and the pissing match, as I pointed out, no one cares if you think you're the shit (or what gear you use), this is the internet, personas are a dime a dozen.
I wish there was time to check this childish forum more often, but alas, the holiday is nearly over.

And yes Cilantro does in fact kick ass. I dont see why you would be calling me an idiot Ant, I thought you of all people would see the truth and humor in my previous post.

A. no one was trying to cast dispersions on anyones intelligence...unless thats they way you feel

B. yeah....your point about spelling and sentence structure wasent really needed u just feel better when you make fun of people ...

If you never made a beat on the Playstation, why are you talking sh*t? The MTV Music generator (the first one, which is the best one) comes with 1500 drum, bass, and instrument sounds and can sample from cd's. You can get pretty deep with editing and programing since it's laid out like a big step editor. There's fx, etc. and if you really wanted to, you could bounce your stuff out one by one and sync them up in a DAW like Logic or Pro Tools. Of course it's limited, it's not a professional tool, but you can make music that sounds really good. Ultimately, isn't that the point?

What indy films have you done scores for? Are any of your beats on albums that have been released? Just curious...

Get over yourself people, if you are trolling a post about a machine you dont even have or use, you must be having horrible writers block... **** if you are trolling on a music creation forum, period, you must be having some major issues.
Go back to whatever you use and try to make something original. Try A) not just sampling someone elses melody/bassline B) learning an instrument, or failing that C) make something other than hiphop. You'll love yourself for it, variety is the spice of life.
But I doubt this will happen so...
