MPC and Korg M1

@dj-t: just tried to add another explanation and i was also referring to your post from above regarding the settings on the mpc. and, yes midi can communicate with many devices, but not all devices are able to transmit/recieve all possible midi instructions. e.g. the m1 can recognize an all notes off signal but it cannot send an all notes off signal to other gear.
what i was referring to was that at some point in time when midi was introduced first not all manufacturers implemented it properly to their devices.
e.g. general midi has 128 instuments, the m1 has only 100 programs/instruments, so it is not possible to use an m1 as a standart general midi playback device. other manufactures used a 128 instruments per bank scheme so this is where some of the difficulties came from.
there is more than one way to use our equipment, so there´s nothing wrong in adding ones viewpoint to a discussion. maybe i learn something from you, like using the msb/lsb properly, because i did not use them since my way of doing things brought the desired results for me.

that's my point.once you've figured out msb/lsb,then use it as a work around. that's cool you learnt something.I have the Triton,so I was jus adding the info as I read on the M1.We can always learn from each other.
